president's note
"
It is an honor to serve as your President for the 2026-2028 term. As we step into this new chapter, our collective focus is clear: to grow our profession and firmly elevate the recognition of medical physics within Singapore healthcare landscape.
Medical physicists are vital to clinical safety and innovation, and it is time we put our contributions securely on the map. As part of this ongoing effort, we will continue laying the groundwork for a formal certification pathway. While establishing this framework remains a longer-term journey for our profession, taking these steady steps is essential to protecting our clinical standards and advocating for the professional standing our practitioners deserve.
Beyond our borders, we aim to amplify Singapore's regional status. We are actively exploring opportunities to organize a major regional conference, a premier platform to share our collective knowledge, foster international collaboration, and showcase local advancements on a larger stage.
Ultimately, our goal is to bring tangible value to the medical physics community. We will work to increase active engagement through targeted education and sharing that directly support the daily clinical realities of our members.
Together, I am confident that we will be able to strengthen the foundation of medical physics in Singapore
"
Warmly,
Laurentcia Arlany, President (2026-2028)
